Alastair Howie - Beach Huts - Mudeford

Union Art is delighted to introduce you to our latest artist: Alastair Howie. We are extremely lucky to have him join us and I'm sure you will love his artwork as much as we do.

It is clear to see that Alastair Howie has a background in architecture from his collection of fantastic Limited Edition Prints. As an architect Alastair is able to bring together a detailed study of the buildings he selects with the surrounding elements. The results are stunning compositions rich in colour and texture.

As one of the UK's leading architectural artists, Alastair's work has found recognition through publication in the national press including Architectural Review, Country Living and The Sunday Express. He has also exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad and his work can be found at the V&A Museum in London.

Beach Huts - Mudeford is a Limited Edition Print from the new collection we have available from Alastair Howie, Alastair comments about this piece: "These beach huts are located in Mudeford or (Hengsbury head to be more precise) which is near Bournemouth. The beach huts themselves are highly unusual as they are all to bespoke designs and they can sell for as much as £120,000.

I have chosen a group of six huts for this composition and I've been selective looking particularly for vibrant colours and quirky features. The addition of the windbreaks and the boat add to the beachy flavour. It's hard to look at this picture without dreaming yourself to the seaside." This piece is a really good size at 490mm x 1150mm, and makes a great center piece for any room. To view Alastair's full collection of Limited Edition Prints please take a look on Union Art now!
