Eric Rowe - Majestic.

We have a new selection of original artworks available from a new group of artists! This week we bring you, Eric Rowe, one of the latest artists to join us.

Eric Rowe is a wildlife artist and illustrator whose distinguished career has seen him work with some of the leading advertising agencies across Europe. We are delighted to have a selection of his original works of art for sale.

Born in London in 1938, Eric Rowe went to study art and design at Harrow Art College in West London. He then worked as an illustrator at a London design studio. Alongside his commercial work he also began painting for both commissions and fine art publications. It wasn't long before this side of his career took off and he became a full time freelance illustrator. In 2011 Eric was commended in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the year competition.

The artwork Majestic is this week's artwork of the week. The artwork is typical of Eric Rowe's style, always simple but stunningly beautiful. Here we see an amazingly detailed elephant set against a plain background. Every wrinkle is visible on the elephants trunk and with the undistracted background every detail of the animal is highlighted even more so.
