Kay Johns - Kiss and Make Up

This weekend we shall be attending the Swallowfield Show in Berkshire and we are delighted to have Kay Johns artwork as our star artist at the show. Her fantastic wildlife art will be perfect for this country show and we are so pleased to be able to represent such a talented artist. Kiss and Make Up by Kay Johns is one of our favourite artworks by Kay Johns. This Signed Hand Embellished Limited Edition Print features two hares nose to nose. This really is a sweet picture, the two hares create a lovely shape against a white background and the result is a striking artwork.

Kay was born in Tring, Hertfordshire, in 1964 spending most of her childhood around horses, riding around the beautiful Chiltern Hills and surrounding countryside. Always having a house full of pets, and an extreme passion for painting and drawing, painting pets and wildlife was an obvious choice of subject matter. After attending Watford Art college and a London Art college for a total of four years, Kay Johns achieved a Distinction in Graphic Design/illustration and went on to work for a publishers, designing children’s books.

Swallowfield Show is a two day family show held on the Bank holiday weekend Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August. The show is now in its 130th year and is visited by thousands of people all over the south of England.
