Jolly Awesome - Frenchie & Pug

This Bank Holiday weekend we attended the Swallowfield Show in Berkshire. It was a mixed event, we had a great day on Sunday but unfortunately we had heavy rain all day on Monday! We were so disappointed but with the rain leaking into our marquee on Monday we were forced to pack up and leave early. We however were very grateful for the sun shining on Sunday and we had a fantastic day. We met lots of wonderful people and lots of very adorable dogs! Thank you to everyone who visited us and for the many doggie cuddles we managed to attain!

Once again our show sell out was the super cool print Frenchie & Pug from Jolly Awesome. It's easy to see why, with two dogs dressed as the loveable characters Batman and Robin, it's such a fun piece of art. Everyone loves a Pug,  a crime fighting doggy duo, as Jolly Awesome imagines a french bulldog and pug as superheroes. A very witty print from artist Jolly Awesome.  It's available in different sizes and can be purchased framed so it's ready to be hung straight on the wall. It's certainly a favourite with us as it adorns our walls too!

Jolly Awesome was set up by Matt who is also known by his design nickname 'Def tone'.  He lives in south London and is inspired by British pop culture as well as all things Americana. He had an early fascination with Saturday morning cartoons like the 60's Batman series and then later on in hip hop music. The inspiration for the name is from the chiefly British: Jolly and the classic Americanism: Awesome.  Jolly Awesome's work has appeared in various publications including Cosmopolitan Magazine. He has an impressive list of clients and we are delighted here at Union Art to be able to offer you his artwork.
