Kealey Farmer - Our Remembrance Tree

The First World War officially ended on the eleventh hour on the eleventh day on the eleventh month, 1918 - Armistice Day. Now regarded as Remembrance Day, millions of people stop what they're doing to take part in a two minutes silence to remember the millions killed, injured and affected in all conflicts.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One. To mark this anniversary the artist Kealey Farmer has produced a special piece of art titled 'Our Remembrance Tree'.  The artwork is a mixed media stunning high gloss hand embellished signed Limited Edition Print. The edition size is just 50 and much of the edition has already sold so it's very low in stock now.  This really is a special piece of art, it's something that can be enjoyed for years and be passed down in the family to commemorate such an important part of history.

Kealey Farmer was born and raised in Derbyshire and spent most of her childhood painting and drawing. She built a successful career in the corporate world but gave it all up in 2003 to become a professional artist. As mainly a self taught artist Kealey Farmer has experimented with acrylics painting abstract swirl images on large scale canvas. Her first show was a sell out and her designs have naturally evolved over the years. Her recent work is much more softer with added depth  and feature interesting and complex painting techniques. Her recent collections are on a much smaller scale featuring multi-coloured trees and flowers, with a more romantic twist with the use of hand-made hearts. They are finished in a high gloss creating raised and reflective surfaces that she's always loved. She started to incorporate new forms of mixed media such as hand cut glass and Swarovski crystal embellishment. Kealey Farmer says ‘Throughout my life I’ve always loved exquisite things so it’s been a natural process for me to incorporate this into my work. I love colour, reflections and fluid movements, I want people to be captivated by what they see and hope to make people feel good through my art’.
