Peter Brook was born in the winter of 1927 surrounded by the Pennines which would become such an influence in his life. After a career in teaching Peter Brook became a full time artist aged 40, contracted to Agnews of London and saw his work exhibited around the world. Many celebrities collected his work including James Mason & Sir Tom Courtenay. He began featuring himself and his dog in his paintings in the 1980's and this became a trademark for his later work. In 2009 & 2011 Peter Brook's work featured in the Tate Gallery desk diary and nowadays Peter Brook's original work is fetching high prices at auction houses and dealers around the UK. Sadly Peter Brook passed away in 2009.
