Graham Carver

Graham Carver lived his early life in Norfolk. He studied Art and Design at Hornsey College of Art in London before moving to Leeds College of Art to study painting. He subsequently made his home in Yorkshire and taught Art and Design in Leeds for a number of years before becoming a full-time professional painter. Graham Carver now lives near Kirby Stephen in Cumbria, equidistant between his main subject areas, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.He has exhibited in some of the leading galleries in the UK. including the Leeds City art Gallery, the Headrow Gallery in Leeds, the Cartwright Hall in Bradford, the Ginnel Gallery in Manchester, the Talbot Galleries in Lancaster, Browns gallery in Otley, and the Bankside and Mall galleries in London. His work is nationally recogonised, not only through the country-wide sale of his limited edition prints and originals but also through exhibition success in the national watercolour competition sponsored by Singer and Friedlander and the Sunday Times.His original work is mainly in the hands of private collectors, not only in the UK but also in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and the United States.
